Rich and velvety Irish-style chocolate truffles with alcohol-free option.
Ingredients
8 oz bittersweet chocolate
1/2 cup heavy cream
2 tbsp unsalted butter
2 tbsp milk plus 1/2 tsp whiskey flavoring (or omit)
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup cocoa powder for rolling
Instructions
1. Heat cream until simmering
2. Pour over chocolate and rest 2 minutes
3. Stir until smooth
4. Add butter, flavoring, vanilla, and salt
5. Chill 2-3 hours
6. Roll into balls
7. Coat in cocoa powder
8. Refrigerate until serving
Notes
Use milk and flavoring for alcohol-free version.
