Soft and festive Easter Sugar Cookie Squares with creamy vanilla frosting.
Ingredients
1/2 cup butter, softened
1 cup granulated sugar
1 egg
1 egg white
1 1/2 Tbsp sour cream
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
6 Tbsp butter, softened
3 cups powdered sugar
1 pinch salt
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
4 Tbsp half and half
Instructions
1. Preheat oven and line pan
2. Cream butter and sugar
3. Add egg, egg white, sour cream, and vanilla
4. Whisk dry ingredients
5. Combine wet and dry ingredients
6. Divide and color dough
7. Press into pan
8. Bake 18-22 minutes
9. Cool completely
10. Prepare frosting
11. Spread frosting and add sprinkles
12. Slice and serve
Notes
Do not overbake. Chill before slicing for clean cuts.
