Description
Soft and buttery Sugar Cookie Bars topped with creamy frosting.
Ingredients
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 Tbsp cornstarch
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 cup unsalted butter
1 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp almond extract
2 1/4 cups powdered sugar
1/2 cup unsalted butter
2–3 Tbsp heavy cream
1 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
1. Preheat oven and line pan
2. Whisk dry ingredients
3. Cream butter and sugar
4. Add eggs and extracts
5. Mix in dry ingredients
6. Press dough into pan
7. Bake 18-22 minutes
8. Cool completely
9. Beat frosting ingredients
10. Spread frosting and decorate
11. Slice and serve
Notes
Do not overbake. Chill before slicing for clean cuts.
